We at Mardy Juniors F.C. believe that the following
are the key objectives defining our role in promoting
the interests of football in Abergavenny, and in Wales.
1. ENJOYMENT AND FUN for players, coaches and parents
2. DEVELOPMENT OF PERSONAL SKILL LEVEL whatever the age or ability of the individual
3. DEVELOPMENT OF THE TEAM SKILL LEVEL in mini-football, every effort should be made to play every child attending training in some part of every game
4. DEVELOPMENT OF COACHES the coach must be aided in all aspects of coaching and provided with opportunities to progress
5. EDUCATION ABOUT THE RULES OF THE GAME playing within the rules is imperative
6. GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP this is more important than winning at all costs. This applies to spectators and to players.
7. EDUCATION IN HEALTH & SAFETY players will be encouraged to understand the importance of warming up properly and following a healthy diet.
8. WE WANT PLAYERS TO PROGRESS WITHIN THE CLUB success is for quality players with sound techniques and skills to move up through the Club's teams.
9. FAMILY ENVIRONMENT all family members are welcomed all the time and encouraged to take part in the running of the club.
