The Red and the Black Connections

Another well-known club that shares our colours is AC Milan, the famous Rossoneri, who play in red and black (stripes)...

...AC Milan play in Italy, where Juventus also play...

...A great player for Juventus was Swansea-born John Charles, known as 'Il Buono Gigante', the Gentle Giant...

...John Charles went on to become player-manager at Hereford United, where Kyle Holmes played in 1978-9...

...Hereford United play in white, but their away strip used to be red and black...

...The last assistant manager at Hereford United was Richard O'Kelly who went from Hereford to AFC Bournemouth in 2004...

...Bournemouth used to have the longest name in the football league: Bournemouth and Boscombe Athletic Football Club! No wonder they changed it...

Bournemouth handed out the biggest thrashing in the FA Cup in recent years, beating Margate 11-0 in November 1971, with Ted MacDougall scoring 9. The Mardy Juniors U13s Manager watched the game as a (very small) boy...

...that day Bourneouth also played in red and black (stripes).
