Development Centre OPENS

"INVEST IN THE FUTURE. GOOD PLAYERS DO NOT DEVELOP BY CHANCE"

Following the successful implementation of the newly formed Junior Academy (12-16yrs) the club are pleased to announce the opening of the Junior Development Centre for all players aged between 7-11 years of age.

The centre will be run by Danny Elliott and assisted by a number of FAW/FA qualified coaching staff. The venue will be at Llanatrnam Comprehensive School, Cwmbran every Friday between 5.30pm - 7pm and cost £25 for a 6 week.

Over the next 5 weeks Danny and his coaching staff will be assesing every player that attends and as of October 22nd the centre will be split into two sections:

Advanced Development Centre: (ADC)
The ADC will continue to operate on a Friday evening, and have a maximum of 16 players in each age group (7-11). The ADC will look to incorparate more of a technical feel to the sessions, whilst still ensuring that all players have FUN.

Coaching Centre:
The Coaching Centre will operate on a Wednesday evening between 5.30 - 7pm and will have no limit on the number of children that want to attend. This centre is about fun and enjoyment whilst still learing the game.

The early years of a childs physical development is the FUNdimental stage. It is a period that build a foundation on which more complex movement abilities can be developed later. Agility, Balance, Co-ordination or (ABC's) are the key areas to be developed, together with the basic aspects of running, throwing and jumping. At this stage the most important aspects are participation and above all, fun and enjoyment.

If you are interested in registering or indeed know anyone who would like to be developed as a footballer then please contact Danny on 07810 824463 824463 or Craig Filer on 07825 709258
